Why do men ask for a divorce and then say they don’t mean it later?

Today my husband of 19 yrs called while I was at the grocery store and asked for something and then got angry and asked me for a divorce. He apologized later but before he left for work he told me that he didn’t care about his job either. Is he depressed or having an affair? What is going on here. I don’t want to talk with him or accept his sorrys.

He is depressed. Have him talk things over with you..prehaps even medication would be a good route.

men don’t think before they speak. you have to train them to. you have to let him know that saying those things is not acceptable. however, if you don’t want to talk to him or accept his apologies, then give him the divorce.
